My name is Paul Ward and I am the founder and creative force behind Media Mechanic. As a small business owner, I believe it is fundamentally important for potential clients to have an understanding of the type of person leading a company which they are considering as a service provider. With this principle in mind, MediaMechanic.Net includes a complete "BIO" section which you can use to learn more about me.
So who am I? I am an award winning designer based in Portland, Oregon (originally from Grand Rapids, MI) with 10 years of experience in web & multimedia development. I have been fortunate to have a successful career as both an entrepreneur and working within the corporate world.
Immediately following art school, I formed two successful companies. First I served as co-founder & owner of the award winning multimedia agency BlackBOX, with Kendall College of Art & Design Professor Bill Fischer and fellow Kendall alumni Anthony Underwood. Later, I moved on to serve as one of the co-founders of the programming development firm BizStream. More recently, I served as a web development specialist & design consultant for Amway International/Quixtar.
Below I have provided a little background information about me. I hope this will help you decide if IMedia Mechanic is the right fit for you.
 |  | Family... it remains the dominant force in my life. Being raised in a close-knit Midwestern home of 5 children (1 brother & 3 sisters) by two loving parents, has been a tremendous asset in my life. Born the eldest in an artistically & musically inspired middle class home, I understand the importance of leadership, artistic creativity and the value of hard work.
I am now embarking on life's greatest journey...fatherhood. Married three years ago to my best friend of the past 18 years (I met my wife Nicole in middle school), we had our first child Susan JuliAnn Ward on Dec 27th, 2007. ...

 |  | Wards come from a long line of artists and musicians. In particular, music has been my passion for almost 19 years now. In that time I have studied the saxophone, drums, electric guitar and bass guitar in a wide variety of genres. I have won 5 State competition awards and had the tremendous honor of playing for my State's Governor n in 2006. I have toured 4 states and played nearly every major music venue in lower Michigan.
During my musical career I have released 7 albums (with a combined total of almost 5000 copies sold), my songs have received radio airplay on 6 radio stations and I have been interviewed/reviewed by every major newspaper & music magazine in my region. It has been a great ride so far....
